In collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia and Alzheimer’s Disease International, Alzheimer’s Care Armenia has developed a National Dementia Plan. The plan was created with input from doctors, psychologists, and sociologists over a year-long period and aims to prevent the spread of dementia in Armenia by increasing awareness among the elderly and outlining the necessary steps to improve patient care and support.
The National Dementia Plan identifies the stages of the work that need to be carried out, the important steps in the rising awareness of risk factors, policies to be developed, and the periods during which each phase will be implemented. ACA is proud to have played a pivotal role in developing this critical document, and the organization is committed to working with stakeholders across Armenia to implement its recommendations.
