Support Cafés Restoring Dignity Across Armenia

With your support, Alzheimer’s Care Armenia is helping elders who were forcibly displaced from Artsakh find healing, dignity, and connection.

Thanks to the generosity of our partners, we launched the first Support Café in Yerevan to address the urgent psychosocial needs of these vulnerable older adults. The program has now expanded to Lori, Armavir, Kotayk, and Ararat—bringing hope to hundreds of elders who have endured profound loss

What is the Support Café?

The Support Café provides a safe and welcoming space for 20–25 displaced elders each week, offering:

Guided group discussions with trained professionals
Art and music therapy designed by a trauma psychologist
Community-building activities that restore communication, memory, and emotional expression

For many participants, this is the first place they feel heard, supported, and connected since losing their homes, communities, and sense of belonging.
